Turning the page

I’ve started this post at least four times now, since November. Probably because there is so much to say and yet I couldn’t decide which things I wanted to say. I just know I want to say something.

I want to inspire the people who are looking at 2021 and desiring to climb in their personal and career development.

I want to console the people who feel broken and hopeless, and who need this next season to be one of rest and recuperation.

I want to virtually hug all the people who feel both ways, depending on the time of day.

Basically I want to tell you everything, but that would take too many words.

So, I’m writing a simple message, and it might sound cliché, but it’s the truth: wherever you are, be there.

If you’re feeling the resolutions and the vision boards, do that. If you’re feeling cocoa (or wine) and movies, do that. When you’re ready, the world will be here. If you need support when you’re ready, I will be here.

An update for 2021

I completed more training this year and it opened my eyes to the power of professional coaching for all aspects of life. I was reminded that while doing the work you are made for enhances your life immeasurably, there is a lot of life that happens beyond work.

On a personal note, 2020 marked my fourth year of mothering. I moved houses during the spring lockdown. I packed up my life in 48 hours with a 2 and 3 year old underfoot (and-in-and-out of boxes, of course). Like you, I survived my first global pandemic. I loved my work this past year, and I also had a lot going on outside of it.

Careers and career transitions will always be on tap here. In addition to that, I’m excited to add some more holistic coaching options going forward. If you want to learn more about that, here’s a link to connect with me.

A big thank-you

Finally, if you are reading this, you are part of this community. Whether you were a coaching client this past year, or took a group program with me, or attended a workshop, or read a blog post, or followed me on social, I want to send you a big thank-you. You make this work possible and I am profoundly grateful. I hope we can keep making this magic together for a long time to come.
